WELCOME!

Our customer surveys have shown overwhelmingly that you agree that the

Weston Craft Show. is truly special: "Amazing quality! Best show I’ve seen in years" and "The quality of the work selected for the show keeps us coming back year after year!" Repeated over and over was your appreciation for the high quality of the work throughout the show. Vermont is blessed with an overflowing cup of talent. The lush hills, quiet villages, and the ever-changing seasonal landscapes attract and inspire those with creative genius. We’re pleased to showcase this rich array of Vermont talent.

Our gifted artisans as well as our show volunteers take the words craft, hand-made and juried very seriously. Our exhibitors represent an impressive collection of prestigious awards, honors and special commissions, including selections for the White House Permanent Craft Collection, "Early American Life" magazine’s Top 200 Traditional Crafts listing, signature pieces for Vermont Historical Society’s Expo, and the Vermont Welcome Center, Niche Award for Fiber-Handwoven, many Best of Show awards, fellowships, grants, and solo gallery shows. We are honored to have them in our small show in this tiny village when each can have their pick of venues. That you have responded enthusiastically to our concept of a craft show is very important to their choice of Weston.

Vitality is a key ingredient of the Weston Craft Show. We never rest on our laurels. "In this competitive world you are either moving up or down," my father used to say, "and there is always something new to try!" Last year we inaugurated Craft Education Seminars and we were honored to have two outstanding speakers to continue them this year. Renowned master furniture maker Charles Shackleton from Bridgewater and Jan Shepherd, Editor and Publisher of The New England Craft Connoisseur were eminently qualified to lead you through the world of fine craftsmanship.

Our varied complement of exhibitors is another aspect of our vitality. As one visitor put it, "Impressed that you continue to bring in new creative talent of high quality". 2006 was no exception. Our 14 new artisans brought fabulous ceramics, imaginative fiber arts, distinctive jewelry, fine woodwork and classic folk art to join 35 of your returning favorites.
